Faces of the City 2025 was more than a recognition event—it was a heartfelt tribute to the collective spirit of Atlanta.

Hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Constituent Services, this annual initiative uplifts everyday residents doing extraordinary work in their communities. Whether through youth advocacy, neighborhood empowerment, or economic justice, each honoree represents the heartbeat of our city.

This year’s honorees included:

  • The Black Coffee Company, Outstanding Community Business — for its leadership in the annual Black Coffee Fest and continued investment in workforce development and financial literacy.

  • Akiem Williams, Exceptional Youth Ambassador — for organizing a citywide youth summit and mentoring through The Gentlemen’s Foundation.

  • Meloni Boatswain, Neighborhood Leadership Award — for building bridges across communities through her Community Champions Brunch and year-round civic engagement.

With more than 150 attendees, 19 MVP volunteers, and touching tributes to local heroes past and present, the event reminded us that leadership isn’t always loud—it often shows up through consistency, compassion, and service.

Faces of the City is proof that when we center people, we elevate the city.
